Welcome to Ocer Campion Jesuit College
A very warm welcome to Ocer Campion Jesuit College. Ocer Campion is a Jesuit secondary school in the Northern region of Uganda. Our school is named after one of the Jesuit saints, St Edmund Campion who is regarded as patron of the British Jesuit Province. On 1st December, the school and the surrounding community come together to celebrate the Feast Day of St. Edmund Campion. Ocer Campion strives to promote the growth of young men and women through learning, loving and serving thus molding them to become ethical and responsible leaders.
We are proud of our school where a diverse range of cultures come together in a Catholic environment. All students are encouraged to develop their talents to the full and to contribute to the life of the school and surrounding community.
As one of four Jesuit schools in the Eastern Jesuit Province, Ocer Campion shares the characteristics of a Jesuit education that bind each of these schools to a common vision and common goals. Ocer Campion dedicates itself to preparing young men and women for lives of faith, love, service and leadership through the Jesuit tradition of Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam; “for the greater glory of God.”
We are very proud of our successes and are determined to continue to improve to meet the needs of our students in an ever changing world. We believe that academic success is essential and goes hand in hand with spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. The mission of being Jesuit goes beyond academic excellence. We are a community that fosters individuals to develop their entire self. The core value of OCJC is the promotion of integrated personal development. Each student is challenged to work towards challenging his/her full potential through developing intellectually, physically, emotionally, and spiritually resulting in being a better person every day, a transformed and prosperous citizen. We nurture our students to become men and women for others.
