It was a night to remember for Ocer candidate students as they celebrated their first prom party.
Popularly known as the Leavers’ Party, the event was organized by the students and supported by the school administration.
Students arrived in style as they socialized, posed for photos and danced the Saturday evening away. The students were seen clad in trending styles from head to toe. It was a red carpet affair, students did a catwalk with their partners hand in hand to the dining hall; the venue for the party.
The party was attended by all Senior four and Primary seven candidates as well as some members of the faculty including the head teacher.
While addressing students on this memorable day, the Head teacher, Father John Chachu SJ acknowledged that the prom party was a good initiative and should be included henceforth on the school annual events calendar.
The students were overly excited, it was a momentous occasion, the first of its kind at Ocer. Never in Ocer’s history have the candidate students been given a prom party.
‘’I feel overwhelmed, I am so overjoyed, I did not expect that we are going to have a leavers’ party. This has never happened before,’’ one of the senior four students said.
The students were treated to a sumptuous meal accompanied with soft drinks as they listened to heavenly melodies. The occasion climaxed with cutting of the cake.
